1. GENERAL FAQ: NAVIGATING THE SPINZ INTERFACE
How do I move a record from my "Wantlist" to my "Crate"?
In the Spinz philosophy, the Wantlist is your aspiration, and the Crate is your reality. To transition an item, long-press any record in your Wantlist to trigger the glass context menu. Select "Move to Crate". This action automatically updates your collection statistics and informs our machine learning models of your latest acquisition to refine your "Neural Recommendations".
The "CoverFlow" view isn't moving. What's wrong?
Turning the phone 90 degrees to “landscape” mode reveals a cover flow for your Collection or Wantlist. The Spinz CoverFlow is built on a physics-based inertia engine designed to mimic flipping through a physical record bin.
The Flick: Give the screen a quick, horizontal flick to engage the momentum.
Auto-Scroll Mode: If the app has been inactive for 30 seconds, it enters "Gallery Mode". Simply tap anywhere on the glass to regain manual control and break the auto-rotation.
How do I delete a record or a from my Collection or Wantlist?
If a scan didn't meet your quality standards, perform a long-press on the album artwork within your Vault and select the "Remove" option (highlighted in red). This will purge the record from your local view and your "Buddy" public feed. For a total account reset, use the "Delete Everything" button in Settings, which irrecoverably removes all synced records and stats from our servers.
2. TECHNICAL TROUBLESHOOTING & OPTIMIZATION
Why is my album art missing or low-resolution?
Spinz fetches 4K-optimized assets directly from our metadata partners. If art is missing:
Check Connectivity: High-resolution assets require a stable LTE/5G or Wi-Fi connection.
API Latency: Occasionally, third-party databases experience brief outages. Pull down on the Vault screen to trigger a manual refresh.
I’m not feeling the "Haptic Clicks."
The "Spinz Glass" interface relies on tactile feedback to feel like real hardware. If you don't feel a "click":
Navigate to iOS Settings > Sounds & Haptics and ensure System Haptics is ON.
Note: Haptics are automatically disabled if your device is in "Low Power Mode".
The Label Scanner is struggling with my record.
For the best AI identification via the Spinz Neural Net:
Lighting: Ensure the label is well-lit without direct "ring light" glare on the spindle hole.
Focus: Hold the phone 6–8 inches from the label.
Scan Modes: Ensure you are in the correct mode. Use "UPC" for barcodes and "Label ID" for catalog numbers printed on the vinyl label itself.
3. BUDDIES & SOCIAL INTERACTION
How do I add a new Buddy?
Navigate to the Buddies tab and tap the "Add Buddy" icon. Enter the unique handle (Their Discogs Handle for V1) of the collector you wish to add. This sends a "Buddy Request" which they must accept before you can view their public Wantlist.
What are the different notification types?
Your Spinz Inbox handles several social activities:
Buddy Request: Someone wants to join your network.
Buddy Accepted: Your request was approved.
Buddy Offer: A "Seeker" has found a record from your Wantlist.
Offer Response: A response to your attempt to facilitate a trade or purchase.
4. COMING SOON: ACOUSTIC & ADVANCED ANALYTICS
Acoustic Fingerprinting (The "Ear" Icon)
What is it? Soon, you will be able to identify records simply by letting Spinz "listen" to 5 seconds of audio.
The Tech: We utilize Acoustic Fingerprinting to match audio profiles against a database of millions of tracks, identifying exact pressings even without a jacket.
Privacy First: Raw audio is never stored; it is converted into a mathematical hash and immediately discarded.
Advanced Analytics & "Strong Buy" Recommendations
We are enhancing our Chronology charts and market data.
Market Demand: Spinz will soon display a "Strong Buy Recommendation" when the demand-to-supply ratio for a specific pressing in our community exceeds 1.5x.
Ticker Animation: Our analytics engine uses a custom Currency Ticker with Bezier-based animations to show you the real-time value of your collection as it fluctuates.
